How to Effectively Declutter Your Inbox & Filter Spam Emails

This article is specific to complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com, but the steps can be used for any 'send from' email. 

In this blog post, we will guide you through how to filter out spam messages on the most popular email clients, including Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Apple Mail, Native Mail App (Android), Thunderbird, AOL Mail, and ProtonMail.

Gmail

To filter out spam messages in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Gmail inbox.
  2. Open an email that you want to filter out
  3. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the message from Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com
  4. Select "Filter messages like this."
  5. In the filter options, select "Delete it" to send all future emails from this sender to the trash or to a specific folder where you are wanting to save them.

Outlook

To filter out spam messages in Outlook, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Outlook inbox.
  2. Open an email that you want to filter out
  3. Right-click the message from Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com.
  4. Select "Create rule."
  5. In the rule options, select "Delete it" to send all future emails from this sender to the trash.

Yahoo

To filter out spam messages in Yahoo, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Yahoo inbox.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select "More settings."
  4. Click "Filters."
  5. Click "Add new filters."
  6. In the filter options, select "Delete" to send all future emails from this sender to the trash. The sender is: Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com 

Apple Mail

To filter out spam messages in Apple Mail, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Apple Mail inbox.
  2. Select the message from Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com
  3. From the top menu, select "Message."
  4. Hover over "Move to."
  5. Select "Junk" to send all future emails from this sender to the junk folder.

Native Mail App (Android)

To filter out spam messages in the Native Mail app on Android, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Native Mail app inbox.
  2. Select the message from Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com
  3. Tap and hold the message until a menu appears.
  4. Select "More."
  5. Select "Filter messages like this."
  6. In the filter options, select "Delete it" to send all future emails from this sender to the trash.

Thunderbird

To filter out spam messages in Thunderbird, you can follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the message from Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com
  2. Select "Create Filter From Message."
  3. In the filter options, select "Delete message" to send all future emails from this sender to the trash.

AOL Mail

To filter out spam messages in AOL Mail, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your AOL Mail inbox.
  2. Select the message from Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com
  3. Click "Report Spam" to send all future emails from this sender to the spam folder.

ProtonMail

To filter out spam messages in ProtonMail, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your ProtonMail inbox.
  2. Select the message from Complaints@email-abuse.amazonses.com
  3. Click "Mark as Spam" to send all future emails from this sender to the spam folder.
